" Conjunctions".
-*- Definition:
Conjunctions relate , bind and join parts of clauses or sentences .
-*- The most Common Conjunctions :
- For - nor-but- yet - So - when - till - until - while - because - nor-
-*- In English Language, conjunctions are two main types :
-1- Coordinating Conjunctions .
-2- Subordinating Conjunctions.
-A-/ Coordinating Conjunctions :
-*- Definition:
They are used to relate clauses or phrases which are of same
( grammar) value
( equivalents)
-*- Six famous conjunctions are used here and are
Remembered as grammarians set
( FANBOYS)
- F= For
-A= And
-N= Nor
_B= But
-O= Or
-Y=Yet.
-S=So.
-*- Examples :
-1- I love English , "for "it is the world's most spoken language .
-2- She speaks Arabic "and" French.
-3- We didn't call him, "nor"we shall Send him an
e-mail.
-4- He is friendly, "but "secretive .
-5- Would you like me send a message " or " simply phone you ?
-6-The teacher was angry, yet she pardoned us .
-7- We arrived late, "so" we had to sleep without dinner.
