                     We have taken the responsibility to enhance English in all possible periphery, this article " English Anthem" is just started after the  great demand of kp readers. After reading this stuff you'll infer English is fun, if you learn like Philic's(diehard lover).Let's start our anthem..First of all we wish to focus some common mistakes of English grammar, learning slowly and incessantly you'll grab a lot.

➖Using the wrong preposition➖

1. Absorbed in, not at.

✖️Don't say: The man was absorbed at his work.

✔️Say: The man was absorbed in his work.
➖Using the wrong preposition➖

1. Accuse of, not for.

✖️Don't say: She accused the man for stealing.

✔️Say: She accused the man of stealing.

Note: Charge takes with: The man was charged with murder.

3. Accustomed to, not with.

✖️Don't say: I'm accustomed with hot weather.

✔️Say: I'm accustomed to hot weather.

Note: Also used to: He is used to the heat.

4. Afraid of, not from.

✖️Don't say: Laura is afraid from the dog.

✔️Say: Laura is afraid of the dog.
➖Using the wrong preposition➖

5. Aim at, not on or against. 

✖️Don't say: she aimed on (or against) the target. 

✔️Say: She aimed at the target.

Note: Use the preposition "at" to donate direction: throw at, shout at, fire at, shoot at. Shoot (without the at) means to kill: He shot a bird (= he hit and killed it).

✍When you insult someone,you Deliberately Say something bad  or taking an offensive action to make someone feel insulted and bothered.

✍When you offend someone you May have an intention to make someone feel bad or you May Not have an intention to make someone feel bad.


1⃣ After my brother had told my mother that I did poorly at the Algebra exam, I severely insulted him to make him learn his lesson.

2⃣ I really didn't want to upset my friend but he felt offended unreasonably.(I didn't mean to upset him.)

3⃣ I intentionally offended my little sister to avoid bothering me.(I did it on Purpose)

💡The use of causative verbs.(Make,Get,Have Cause)

✒I made my friend write a letter

✒My friend was made to write a letter

✒He got his house painted by expert painters.

✒He had a house demolished.

Note: In sentence (I) the causative verb 'make'is followed by direct infinitive 'write'.In sentence (II) 'make' is followed by 'to write' because it is in passive voice.

But we can say 'They caused him to leave India'.
